I've sat on every
side of the
deal table.
Founder. M&A advisor. Investor. Corporate buyer. Today I put all four perspectives to work for founders who want to sell their company, usually valued under €5M.
Four seats.
One advantage for you.
Most advisors have seen a deal from one side. I've been the founder, the advisor, the investor and the buyer. That's how I know what the other side is thinking before they say it.
The founder
I've built startups, raised money from VCs and lived the hard decisions when plan A didn't work out. I know what it costs to sit in your seat.
The advisor
I ran buy-side and sell-side mandates. I know what a clean process looks like from both ends, and what derails one.
The investor
I invested in startups and worked on portfolio reshuffles. I know how investors read a founder's numbers and price the risk.
The buyer
I led acquisitions for a corporate buyer. I know how buyers build the case, what they check in diligence, and when they walk away.
When I negotiate for you, I already know the other side's playbook. I used to run it.
Every seat at the table, one story.
I've been the founder, the advisor, the investor, the buyer. Now I'm on your side.
At Areva's transmission and distribution division I led cross-border acquisitions. I learned how a large buyer thinks: the business cases, the diligence diligence, the approvals, and the moment a deal quietly dies.
As a freelance advisor at Epersimove, an M&A boutique, I worked on both buy-side and sell-side mandates: preparing companies for sale, finding buyers, screening targets and running processes. I learned that most deals are won or lost long before the first offer.
At Via-ID, the corporate venture arm of the Mobivia group, I invested in mobility startups such as UbiGo, and worked on portfolio reshuffles: deciding what to keep, what to grow and what to sell. I learned how investors read a founder's numbers, and how quickly a story falls apart when the numbers don't back it.
I also did it myself, more than once. I built startups, among them Voxalyze, a B2B audio analytics SaaS platform backed by Capnamic. I raised money, hired, sold and built. Not every plan A worked out. I know what it feels like to sit across the table when it's your own company, your own team and your name on the line.
Today I advise founders as an independent advisor, leveraging my engineering background, an MBA from INSEAD and the instincts of someone who has been on every side. I work with a small, limited number of founders at a time, and I stay on the deal until it closes.
